A big article on the front page of The New York Times has liberals shocked. Apparently, Republicans in rural areas are aware of President Trump’s budget cuts and would still vote for him anyway.
“This program makes sense,” said Banks, who was placed by the program into a job as a receptionist for a senior nutrition program. Banks said she depends on the job to make ends meet, and for an excuse to get out of the house.
“If I lose this job,” she said, “I’ll sit home and die.”
Yet she said she might still vote for Trump in 2020. And that’s a refrain I heard over and over…
The key part of this paragraph is the sentence that follows it, “Some of the loyalty seemed to be grounded in resentment at Democrats for mocking Trump voters as dumb bigots…” DUH! The only shocking thing about this article is that people are still shocked about this. President Donald Trump has no connection whatsoever to working class Americans. He was born with a silver spoon and has been polishing it ever since. There is no reason working class Americans should have voted for him. Except for the fact that democrats continue to belittle and demean working class Americans. However, it’s not just working class rural Americans that the left
However, it’s not just working class rural Americans that the left is belittling. I don’t think it is a coincidence that the same day this story is on the cover of the times that on the cover of the Washington Post Tina Fey was patronizing college educated woman…
“A lot of this election was turned by white, college-educated women who now would like to forget about this election and go back to watching HGTV,” the actress and comedian said during a star-studded Facebook Live fundraiser for the American Civil Liberties Union. “You can’t look away because it doesn’t affect you this minute, but it’s going to affect you eventually.”
What would we do without Hollywood celebrities telling us what to pay attention and how to think? What’s amazing, is they have seen how bad this works. Celebs were out in full force in 2016 and they were universally against Donald Trump. It failed on an epic level. They have decided to double down. I think a lot of this, like with most democrat strategies, goes back to Barack Obama.
Obama was a cult of personality. Democrats still haven’t figured this out. I think a lot of celebrities think they’re stupid youtube videos, songs, and pleas to America to vote for Obama is why he won. It’s not. However, until they accept this fact, I guess they are going to continue belittling everyone who doesn’t vote the way they do. Based on 2016, this is good news for Republicans
