Roger McCredie began his journalistic career as a reporter for the Spartanburg (S .C.) Herald-Journal, where he went on to become an assistant editor and later an investigative journalist. He then took a several-decades detour into the ad agency business, winning nearly two dozen awards as a copywriter and a creative director. A few years ago he returned to journalism and has since reported for the Asheville Tribune, Asheville Unreported, and the newsblog American Lens. He also contributes frequent feature articles to Capital at Play magazine. In December he launched his own newsblog, Enquiring Minds, in tandem with Tavern Voices.
